If this accusation were true you should just post a URL of one of the releases there and many of us would be able to analyze it (or, at least if the threat is real, confirm that it is infected by watching activity). I don't know elchupacabra but have checked a lot of those repacks and never saw actual malware, so I am skeptical of this claim without proof.

I am not merely being thorough or picky about accusations, I have a specific interest in that site because I have recommended some of those repacks to friends and would like to see an example of a real problem from there if there is one.

My first 'go to' is 2baksa dot net. It's still one of the most reliable and I even find a few of my now increasingly rare creations appear there.

Many of them are paid and charge huge premiums in one way or another just to view the download links.
Take the warez-bb.website for instance.
I was happy thinking that the warez-bb forum came up online again and tried to register.
It is just a huge knockoff trying to benefit from the reputation of the previous (now sadly offline) warez-bb.org free forum which was one of the best!

This new warez-bb namesake charges a £99 subscription just to VIEW the download links. Worse yet, the download links are all direct copies from the sanet forum...
Don't waste your time trying to register there.
They demand that you only use GMAIL to register and that the account name should have no special characters in it! :rolleyes:
The VM in which I tried to register from got infected by malware right after registering and logging there. :eek:

Same with the baksa forum. Needs payment first.
The avxhm.se site is no better with it having all icerbox links for which you need to purchase premium before you can download anything.
Same with many others in this thread...

A paid warez site, cannot be considered a proper warez site.
It would be good if only links to warez sites which show download links freely with relatively common file hosters (unlike icerbox) are shared.
At least, the download links should be from file hosters which work with link debriders.

I usually use digiboy.
The site is secure and everything that is launched is tested.

Most of them still are not free. Either they ask for payments directly or they upload to their own hosters which require payments.
It would be good if the totally free ones (they still exist) are marked as such in the lists to distinguish them from the paid ones.
