Interesting stuff MOJOPAC

MojoPac is a technology that transforms your iPod or other USB storage device into a portable and private PC. Just install MojoPac on any device with a USB port, upload your applications and files, modify your user settings and environment preferences, and take it with you everywhere.

Every time you plug your MojoPac-enabled device into any Windows XP PC, MojoPac automatically launches your environment on the host PC. Your communications, music, games, applications, and files are all local and accessible. And when you unplug the MojoPac device, no trace is left behind C your information is not cached on the host PC.

Thanks, this is reallly useful.
Now how to get around the trial limits? :)

taos 10-14-2006 18:10

I'm working on it... be pacient! ;-)

Ok, DID IT :D

Info:
Block app in your firewall.
Copy this 2 files into your removable Mojopac HD in this directory:
Program Files/RingThree/Bin

Note that RingThree is a hidden directory.

Enjoy it!

BTW: I have not tested 100 reboots limits obviously ;) but I think it's cracked.

lord_Phoenix 10-14-2006 22:24

hm.. didnt test 100 reboots limit, testing in progress :)
btw mojopac is too slow with my usb :( but very nice running from truecrypt

have 1 report.. feature - loading from truecrypt is still blocked..

conan981 10-14-2006 22:51

a question: after replacing the files with the cracked ones, can we unlock the app into the windows firewall? or the app must stay locked forever?:P

taos 10-14-2006 23:00

You can unlock the app after, but the app only needs connect to internet to update software and if you update it you will lost cracked vers.
The first time you install it,it connects to MOJO server to authentificate so it must be locked.
If you block the app, your Mojo SO (Internet explorer, email,etc...) will connect to Internet because it uses your REAL SO to did it. So I think that it's better block MOJO app forever because the only reason to let it is updating version and this will delete cracked exes.

conan981 10-15-2006 01:08

the prog is cracked well i suppose, no activation serial nor client authentication requested. but, now that i tested it a bit, i think that this app is not so usefull as seems.
the main reason is that it is damny slow! even if is nice to have a portable windows pre-configured with all we need.
this is of course, my opinion. what do you think about?

MojoPac 1.0 requires Administrator Privilege. Limited Mode support will be introduced in MojoPac 2.0.
So yeah, it's useful on a PC you could already install these applications on. It's just useless on PCs in most university computer labs, internet cafes, or restricted work computers which usually don't give employees admin rights.

MojoPac requires 128MB just for its files. A USB flash drive won't have much room left for application installation. I can't think of anything large that I'd need to "hide" from a PC I'd have admin rights on that wouldn't already be installed. If this MojoPac virtual PC doesn't have the ability to run applications already installed on the host PC as if they were installed on the virtual PC it's even less useful. Maybe I don't want traces of my activities in Office, FireFox, or whatever on the host PC, but I don't see a point in reinstalling them to a USB drive if the host PC already has the applications on its HD.

MojoPac has a solution for parents, universities and libraries who want to enable MojoPac access while keeping the Host PC in limited mode. Please contact us to learn more about this capability.
What admin in their right mind would want that? "Sure, you can use your MojoPac on our computers to view porn over our network, go ahead, we don't mind."

Nice work. Thanks taos.
I tested and it works correctly. But there is another stupid limitation in version 1.0.1.0 - it doesn't run from TrueCrypt drive. (version 1.0.0.0 runs) Can you check is it possible to patch this in 1.0.1.0 ? (or crack trial in 1.0.0.0 ?)
PS running Mojo in TrueCrypt (with blowfish) is Fast variant! Just try it with 1.0.0.0, much faster than USB-drive.

This limitation is based in the install.exe file, not in binaries installed. When you execute the install file, this put in temp folder several files, and one is "C:\DOCUME~1\myname\CONFIG~1\Temp\RingThreeInstallerHelper.Dll" (spanish temp XP folder). This DLL has a exported 1 function called NSISHasInstallableDrive that is loaded by method getprocaddress in the install exe.
this function returns SUCCESS or FAILED in ASCII in EAX.
If someone can repack this install, I can give him/her a cracked version of RingThreeInstallerHelper.Dll

Best Regards

Archer 10-27-2006 19:26

Hi.
I don't know how to repack NSIS installation file. (is it possible ?)
but however I've unpack NSIS and install MojoPac on TrueCrypt Drive bypassed check in RingThreeInstallerHelper.Dll
There was message from Start.exe that "MojoPac can run only on USB 2.0 devices"

So I think that limitation is in executables too.

I can work in it but is useless if we have not a RingThreeInstallerHelper.Dll patched inside NSIS file because I think that some guys can not bypass check manually. :(

Archer 10-31-2006 01:31

Hi. Thanks for reply.
I have an easy trick with installing Mojo 1.0.1 on TrueCrypt without any patching.
If you can crack this limitation in executables - please do it. With this trick we don't need to repack NSIS.

taos 11-01-2006 00:51

Ok, please share with me this trick.

2 taos:
Take a look in PM.

taos 11-19-2006 04:47

Now is FULLY USB cracked

Sorry for this delay, I have been very busy :o

Attached file contains ALL necessary to run Mojopac in TrueCrypt drives.

To know how to install it in a Truecrypt drive, send a PM to me or to Archer.

Now it runs in ALL DEVICES.

Thanks to Archer for his tip.

Download patch:

Enjoy it! :D
