Devart Code Compare
both standalone and VS integrated.

LordCoder 08-27-2013 22:26

The Visual Studio it's really complete. But I like this:

-Cosmos: to create a simple O.S in C#
-IronPython: to work with Python on VStudio.
-ReSharper: useful to make a better code.
-Telerik components: good design it's always good.
-Reflector plugin: to dissamble while you use VSudio.

I think this plugins are really useful.

vrclr27 08-27-2013 23:46

me too, i'am using
- ReSharper for C#
- and Visual Assist for C / C++
programming

pvs-studio - advanced code-analyzing

XorRanger 08-28-2013 18:33

For Me,
ReSharper but The two annoying things about Resharper are
1. It's High Resource/Memory Usage.
2. it always wants me to use "Var" when declaring variable types and this gets on My Nerves.
Other than the above issues, Resharper is Swiss Army Knife for me.

CodeRush is not bad but it is resource hungry. If don't have a fast PC, it can be really annoying.

trtty 08-30-2013 19:20

VisualAssist for VS below 2012,

CodeRush and Resharper, CodeRush is really good but needs a lot of memory

cnbragon 09-22-2013 19:33

Visual Assit X
Cpp check integration

0xd0000 12-08-2013 15:13

For C# - imo, nothing better then ReSharper & Reflector

Something a little out of the box though -- With PowerSpolit and Nishang PowerShell frameworks being as robust and extensible as they are, this VS extension may be of interest to you.

Visual Assist of course, VTune for optimization, but also Image Watch. It's simply invaluable when working on anything related to image/video processing.

Visual Assist
Visual Leak Detector

Sailor_EDA 02-08-2014 13:26

Visual Assist but even that can take up quite a lot of memory resources on a very large project.

Truth is, we need some competition for VAX, hope Resharper will be that even if many are compaining that at moment is kind of slow.

CodeMaid is a quite handy extension as well: http://www.codemaid.net/
It adds several useful features related with refactoring, code editing and some other stuff. ;-)

Git 04-26-2014 17:12

Useful, but I do wish somebody would incorporate AStyle into a VS plugin. It's a really good program for formatting source exactly as you like it and is very configurable.

Yes, that one :). Wonderful, I had no idea it existed, and it let me put all my normal settings in. Perfect.
