ARTEAM reopening

Hi mates
We had the opportunity to re open the ARTeam web site. You can find it online at our usual URL. No forum, just the tutorials and ezines.

www.accessroot.com

You will find or tutorials archive beside the historic archives of Crackz, Yates, Fravia and Searchlores which were hosted by the now defunct Woodmann servers. These are pieces of RCE history and deserve to be preserved for the older among us and the new generations, who wasn’t part of that scene.

For the moment just the site and those other historic collections .. we are understanding how to do new stuff. Stay tuned we are increasing the services

KUDOS to Genesis for his assistance and hosting

Wow! This is a great news. I’m so glad to hear that...
this very useful for us.

CodeCracker 10-11-2023 20:20

Hi. Will be the forum also reopened?

Shub-Nigurrath 10-11-2023 21:27

Don’t still know. We’re exploring other ideas too besides hosting our own ..

blue_devil 10-11-2023 21:47

This is one of the best news for a long time.
I hope to see forums, new zine issues and tutorials

b30wulf 10-11-2023 22:14

This are very beautiful news.

Fyyre 10-12-2023 12:18

I am very excited to hear this news. This is all very good.
But...Do not mistake what I am going to say.

Every now and then you are coming up and making a post saying that someone is hosting your team's old tuts on their server.
The reality is that the tuts are over 25 years old.
Yeah, it is shocking if we see it that way, but the tuts are from late 90's...

What would be great would be if you can once again start posting new quality material instead of hanging on to the past.
Most of us are getting a little tired seeing the same old things from the past 25 years posted again and again...

I am not trying to put you down. Kudos to your work.

Shub-Nigurrath 10-12-2023 14:16

That’s sure. This is the idea .. do something new. For the moment we hosted ours (old) tuts and others historic sites before present on woodmann. Those are part of the rce history and were somehow lost. For the moment is a new house we’re announcing .. which is better than the 404 error or parking site answering before at that domain …
I am like Robert Plant todays … a bit older and submerged by things. But we’re are mumbling how to do new stuffs

Thanks for super exciting news!
Lets keep the memory for coming ages!

PS
some links are still hitting 404, eg:
https://yates.accessroot.com/OBF/2001-49.pdf
and others

Genesis 10-12-2023 23:19

We're working on some ideas for showcasing new tutorials on the new website which is still a work in progress. We do this in our spare time so I do hope that the community will be forgiving and be patient on that front. It may be easier and more beneficial to do something similar to VxUnderground's directory listing of papers as a showcasing method, but I would like to ask for your thoughts on this.

Thank you, this has been fixed. If anyone has a backup of The Metal Driller's original text file from Metamorphism In Practice, please feel free to send it.

UWT 10-13-2023 11:25

Beautiful memories... really beautiful...

Memorial

Shub, thank you for this great memorial!

Do you plan to fix HTML (CSS) layout for better compatibility?

Some pages use
Code:

for formatting.

What about converting some popular articles to markdown?

P.S. I did some history preservation steps like capturing screenshot of current state of accessroot.com:

Code:

https://web.archive.org/web/20231013082539/http://web.archive.org/screenshot/https://www.accessroot.com/

Shub-Nigurrath 10-13-2023 22:53

Currently, we have two ideas in mind (myself and Genesis)..

Firstly, we plan to include historically relevant tutorials that we may have missed earlier. We are open to suggestions and have received recommendations for tutorials such as those mentioned by Genesis or the complete collection of The Code Breaker Journal.

Secondly, we also plan to create new tutorials or accept ones written by contributors. We are specifically looking for old-school style tutorials, not the kind that can be easily found on the internet, blogs or similar platforms. If you have any ideas, please feel free to send them our way.

This is very good news to hear. The best news will be when you restart your ezines and possibly setup a forum again.

hcedu 10-14-2023 13:28

This is very good news and exciting

tK! 10-14-2023 22:42

this news take me to +15-16 years ago !
when RE scene was in hand of Unpack / exeLaB / ARTeam / RETeam / WoodMann ...

Please bring Forum back too )

OldieHans 10-14-2023 22:49

IMHO For the ARTeam site, it is better to stick to old tutorials and tools from ARTeam rather than mix up everything on a single site? This will avoid confusion as well to everyone.
You can post the old ARTeam material with updates and newer versions of your older materials on the new site?
We already have zipped versions of most of the old sites shared on this forum (some by you). While they can be put up online for the sake of nostalgia, I think the ARTeam site should mainly have ARTeam materials.

And yeah... Bring back the forum too!

It is also a recognition of Woodmann and JMI's hard work on the Woodmann forum but also a way to keep their desire to keep the community alive ...

tK! 10-15-2023 06:09

There are many new young! Talented, great coders nowadays in GitHub )
ARTeam was famous for their High-Level Tutrials ( And yes there are still no tuts with quality arteam provided in their active time )

so u can Ask/send message / invite Skilled crackers to provide " ARTeam Next Generation RE Tuts Series 2023"

also about tools ... yeah ARteam was the most successful tools provider based on community needs...

p.s: when I was more active I translated ARteam tuts in my nation's language for noobs, and make video and .... its why I really Happy and cant stop posting in this Thread .... Forgive me ) with my current age i feel like small child find his lovely/fav toy after many years.

Debugger 10-18-2023 16:21

Looking at that front page of ARTeam brings such good memories!. Wonderful

Rufflito 10-20-2023 17:52

This is very good news. Waiting for the next steps.

RAMPage 10-22-2023 09:21

Sad to hear that :(
The forum housed giants in the cracking industry. I really miss the good ol' times.
I can offer hosting if you want to continue the forum too. The bigger problem is in bringing back the team members busy with their real lives, I guess.

Shub-Nigurrath 11-13-2023 23:05

Exactly I’m almost the only one left, I m feeling like Ringo Starr who’ll soon be the last of fab fours ;-/

Site seems to be down or unreachable. Is it down? I tried through various ISPs and through isitdownrightnow service as well.

Could it be brought up?

Missing the pages since long time and if possible to upload the site archive to somewhere?

I can try and provide a mirror if it is within some of my limits. Thanks.

Shub-Nigurrath 11-16-2023 03:51

foosaa 11-17-2023 10:09

It is still down.

Would you care to share the files so that I can host it elsewhere as well please?

I can point another domain as a backup. Thanks.

Shub-Nigurrath 11-22-2023 00:33

DAMN, the site was taken down without a warning .. again! Well, I have backups, so alternative hosting is welcome!

NON 11-22-2023 22:44

That's sad. Were you able to get any confirmation from Genesis why it was taken down?

0xDA7B01 11-23-2023 04:49

Thanks for the save, such material is becoming even rarer as time passes. Looks like the site is down, by the way?

Shub-Nigurrath 11-23-2023 06:52

Unfortunately not .. so your offer remains valid.
