SoftLock

after a bit of searching on the forums SoftLock does not appear to be a new form of protection, but there is little information about it on the forum at the moment.

i am wondering if anyone has come across it recently, in particularly the dongle protection (softlock.usb according to their website). The website seems to claim that it has not been cracked (well not that they know of anyway). The protection they claim appears to play havoc with decompilers and debuggers.

just curious if anyone has had experience with it...and if it's even worth spending time on?

cheers.

It is not worth your time.

I got it several times in my hands. OEP obsfucation, import table elimination, anti-debug tricks (Phantom does the job without problems). Nothing more.

Around 2005 SVKP author was cooperating with Softlock.

I had a friend that spent considerable time on it, don't know if he went anywhere tho, might look into it if you care...

Is it worth it? Well depends on what it protects :)

Anti vmware, anti softice, server side reg. also. Would anybody happen to have their demo software? It used to be online everywhere now only pointers to invalid links.
Thanks
