Problem with search
 

What's happened with <Search> function (same as <Quick Links>)?

hmm... all descending menus don't work %)

Haven't had time to look yet. Maybe it was turned off by mistake or was consuming too much resources. Another remote possibility is that someone edited the template and made a mistake. Will look tonight or tomorrow as time permits.

[EDIT]Seems to be an edit problem with the navbar template or something related. None of the drop down menus (community;search; and/or Quicklinks) are working correctly.

JMI - just a reminder - although you have edited your post, I cannot edit mine and I have seen other people comment with the same problem, so it could be a general problem. COuld you take a look at that too please?

also doesnt work menu if i want PM somebody and click on his nick no menu is displayed ;) You have to make right click and open in new tab or window.

Edit Posts work for me, but that may be because I am an Administrator. I'll try to look at that also as soon as I have some free time.

Jump:

Private Messaging tabs again work for me, so it could be something in the permissions for that and for edit, but the problem with DropDown menues for community;search; and/or Quicklinks doesn't work for me either, so it's something with the templates.

At least for search function there is a workaround:
Open <search> in new tab or new window - you'll get advanced search form

What did you have to do to fix it??? Was it something with one of the plug-ins?? I Noticed the Chatbox was open when I logged back in tonight, and I hadn't left it open last time I was on the Board.

Was one of the Plug-ins updated or disabled to make the drop-down boxes work??

Glad it's fixed. I didn't want to disable any of the pluging to attempt to see if that was the problem.

Now we found it has nothing to do with plugins.
In the past, we deleted a VBB's copyright notice inside footer template, which caused the problem.

I'll have to do some checking on the vBulletin site. I've never heard of those issues arising because of the deleting of the copy right notice. At least now I have something to look for. ;) Glad you got it fixed.
