Best and "lightest" broswer

Being tired by the MSexplore and Ffox browser monsters I feel nostalgic for the old Opera v3.62 ... what is your best shot to a "light" and efficient browser ?

Thnx,

nathan

Any reply will be personal opinion, but I find Google Chrome very fast and functional and definitely is lean.

If they are not monsters, they can't support so many frameworks/protocols, then they will die.

On the other hand, the development efficiency and versatility are more important than run efficiency(to some degree) if the hardware can support it. That's why there are so many Intermediate Languages/scripts/VMs today.

Google Chrome the best, Opera is sux now :(

For me, security is first rule then --> FFox

Chrome is great now that it supports plugins. Very fast & has some nice things I feel are "missing" from FF...one small example is being able to drag tabs out of the main browser without having to reload the page. It's the little things that make it shine I think =)

what do you talking about???

firefox.ru was defaced a few days ago, so they knows nothing about security, I think.

firefox.ru before defacing - http://web.archive.org/web/20080822042927/http://firefox.ru/

so, this site not belongs to mozilla at all and it was famous joomla

For those arguing security then the best idea is any browser but not installing flash.

I use FF because of the plugins, but IE8/Chrome + patched Windows 7 + not installing flash is generally considered the best way to go security wise.

Opera sux?

Why?

I would go with Pale Moon...its firefox but made only for windows, increases speed by ~25%

Just want to put a quick note, not many people know that a really big percentage of performances problems of FireFox are not given by FF itself but the sqlite DB involved in it.

I would suggest to download and run an sqlite purger like Speedyfox, things will change in better.
