I've always been happy with Hotfile and Rapidshare and I will keep on using them.

Also mediafire,4shared and multiupload are more than enough

I've found Rapidshare has improved alot again. For a while they had gone down hill with too many restrictions on storage amounts and too high costs but they seem to have brought things back again. Plus they do get constant high speeds.

Also they had good Copyright Infringement procedures which means they are unlikely to be taken down as with MegaUpload.

Yes, by all means, find the best site to pirate software, lol. I thought this site was about education?

deepzero 01-27-2012 02:31

well, these sites actually CAN be used to share legal stuff, such as tuts, too. ;)

valid point, though.

how secure those server for filesharing ?
you are use a proxyserver for upload/download after the desaster with megaupload?
for me it was the best filesharing server

and what is this http://www.meegaupload.net/ ? a clone or how can i understand this?

JMI 02-09-2012 03:26

Seems unlikely that it is the same folks behind megaupload because the IP is registered to a location in San Francisco, CA.

They could not be intending to conduct "business as usual" from a US location, because it would immediately create the same problems with the U.S. Federal Authorities which the previous version did.

It could only operate from that location "without problems", if it was not "making money" sharing copyrighted materials.

Will be interesting to see what happens.

Rapidshare is very good, and 10 euros a month aren't too much, if you use it a just a few months a year.

I do agree over the goodness of their Copyright Infringement procedures: they seriously take into account any report of copyright violation and issue material take-downs accordingly.
