minimizng application size
 

recently i unpacked application that packed by Pecompact its size its 713KB before unpack after dump 243MB.now i have been look for useless sections there only two like its was joined in one .Code and .Rsrc so there only two sections so nothing to earase.. tryed lordpe rebuiler only 1 kb affect scylla same effect and petools same efect resource binnder same..so what to do?
can we talk about how to minimize final size?:rolleyes:

are you mistaken abt the kb & mb 713kb expanded to 243mb? doesnt seems to be logical

yup but that what happen seems its have some junk or dont have good sections optimization

Have you tried to pack the "unpacked" 243MB file with pecompact? Does it still produce 713 kb?
It is strange.
Except for there are a lot of same bytes in the 243MB.

A similar problem is here but with a ExeCryptor dump.

Look for SizeOfImage (VirtualSize + VirtualAddress of last section). Comare it with real section's size and fix file (wipe zeroes the end).

i dont have the real file..i just unpack it
