Hacking Team Hacked
 

In what could only be called an ironic turn of events, the Hacking Team, a company that sells malware and spyware technology to government, law enforcement and intelligence agencies, has been hacked by an unknown entity.

So, do you want to know, if YOU are in the target for some spying? Even Czech police (and Czech republic is rather small and insignificant country in the middle of Europe, 10M persons have for example NY city) have some stuff there:

Another thing is the BULL company, that is selling security technology for the Czech police.

Allegedly (half a hour and not even list of the files are loaded?!) it should be (as Duck search turns out) possible to download the torrent of the hacked data there:

...but I cannot confirm that ATM. Have someone better source? I would like to know, if I'm the target too :p I have some reasons to suspect foul play there, so I'm interesed to check.

Here is the real story behind this Hack.

A year ago Company from U.K dealing in same kind of spyware and covert data collection software got hacked. Since this Company is direct competition to Italian Hackteam Company Italians launched advertising campaing making fun of U.K Company for having poor security and thus presenting them as idiots who do not Know nothing on security and as such their Products cannot be trusted.

So to cut story short, same hacker who did it to U.K Company also hacked Italians just to prove them it would be wiser if they kept their mouth shut. :-)

From what i Know, Italians are fucked to the bone, all data was stolen, spy software, documents,scripts,manuals,e-mail boxes of all their staff, license generating scripts, ALL !!!

Long story short: Do not make fun of others, as you can easy fall into their boots.

yep, and there are a lot of things to say about this hack... but for be short, and for stay on discourse of our cracking scene, i just can say that i'm sad to know that some good italian reversers works (worked?) in that company... in the leaks some email figured out about a "well known" nickname: sad to know that peoples who always spoke about not make profits has/had a role in this company... :confused:

Hacker who did this, is truly mastermind of Internet Security and can hack anyone if he pleases so.

He was pissed on Companies who sell spy soft to goverment to spy its own Citizens.

I find it especially amusing that HACKTEAM got hacked too, as they were joking about GAMMA hacked, bragging how poor their security is.

I have just checked the original torrent. There is IDA 4.8 and 4.9 advanced in it.
It is a bit strange not to contain any more recent version of IDA...

That is, where I would draw line. Supporting oppressive governements is very bad move and who do it, should be punished for such dastardly actions. It also raise several questions, as we learned that several Czech universities cooperated on the hacking attempts, out police asked for exploits for many normal servers, etc.
