ARTEAM reopening

Hi mates
We had the opportunity to re open the ARTeam web site. You can find it online at our usual URL. No forum, just the tutorials and ezines.

www.accessroot.com

You will find or tutorials archive beside the historic archives of Crackz, Yates, Fravia and Searchlores which were hosted by the now defunct Woodmann servers. These are pieces of RCE history and deserve to be preserved for the older among us and the new generations, who wasn’t part of that scene.

For the moment just the site and those other historic collections .. we are understanding how to do new stuff. Stay tuned we are increasing the services

KUDOS to Genesis for his assistance and hosting

Hi. Will be the forum also reopened?

Shub-Nigurrath 10-11-2023 21:27

Don’t still know. We’re exploring other ideas too besides hosting our own ..

blue_devil 10-11-2023 21:47

I am very excited to hear this news. This is all very good.
But...Do not mistake what I am going to say.

Every now and then you are coming up and making a post saying that someone is hosting your team's old tuts on their server.
The reality is that the tuts are over 25 years old.
Yeah, it is shocking if we see it that way, but the tuts are from late 90's...

What would be great would be if you can once again start posting new quality material instead of hanging on to the past.
Most of us are getting a little tired seeing the same old things from the past 25 years posted again and again...

I am not trying to put you down. Kudos to your work.

That’s sure. This is the idea .. do something new. For the moment we hosted ours (old) tuts and others historic sites before present on woodmann. Those are part of the rce history and were somehow lost. For the moment is a new house we’re announcing .. which is better than the 404 error or parking site answering before at that domain …
I am like Robert Plant todays … a bit older and submerged by things. But we’re are mumbling how to do new stuffs

Thanks for super exciting news!
Lets keep the memory for coming ages!

PS
some links are still hitting 404, eg:

and others

We're working on some ideas for showcasing new tutorials on the new website which is still a work in progress. We do this in our spare time so I do hope that the community will be forgiving and be patient on that front. It may be easier and more beneficial to do something similar to VxUnderground's directory listing of papers as a showcasing method, but I would like to ask for your thoughts on this.

Thank you, this has been fixed. If anyone has a backup of The Metal Driller's original text file from Metamorphism In Practice, please feel free to send it.

Memorial

Shub, thank you for this great memorial!

Do you plan to fix HTML (CSS) layout for better compatibility?

Some pages use
Code:

for formatting.

What about converting some popular articles to markdown?

P.S. I did some history preservation steps like capturing screenshot of current state of accessroot.com:

Code:

Currently, we have two ideas in mind (myself and Genesis)..

Firstly, we plan to include historically relevant tutorials that we may have missed earlier. We are open to suggestions and have received recommendations for tutorials such as those mentioned by Genesis or the complete collection of The Code Breaker Journal.

Secondly, we also plan to create new tutorials or accept ones written by contributors. We are specifically looking for old-school style tutorials, not the kind that can be easily found on the internet, blogs or similar platforms. If you have any ideas, please feel free to send them our way.

Best

This is very good news to hear. The best news will be when you restart your ezines and possibly setup a forum again.
