...but it's just a line of text. The software must be really poorly written. It thinks that the text is a virus. :rolleyes:

Actually, it even thinks your post is a virus. It keeps popping up a warning which I opened your post.

I had a problem with a virus 3 years ago Momma.something replaced my autoexec.bat with that line.

Eeek. Does this mean then that if Norton was set to "auto-delete" virus-infected files, that someone could send an email with the above in the subject and delete the target users mailbox? :eek:

Wouldn't it only delete that specific email?

depends - if it was in the attachment, yes, but if it ended in the subject, and managed to get into the inbox, then norton may try and delete the inbox file.

I think some experiments are in order.
