what to use to crack??
 

hi im new to cracking
i have tried cracking with softice for winNT (with patch for XP)
some softwares detect it& restart syatem or refuse to start
i use winxp with sp1

i have windasm32 and hiew670

plz give me indepth tutorials on how to crack/patch!!

As far as tools goes I think those are good to have:
1. IDA - best disassembler
2. SIce - good debugger, but rarely needed
3. OllyDbg - nice application-level debugger
4. WinHEx - hex editor of choice
5. peId - identifies packers (snaker, you rock! =) )

Then read tuts.

Shag has pretty much covered it there, especially the part.
If you can't find any tutorials basic enough, then my Ollydbg ones are easy enough for a beginner (in fact I aim/aimed them at beginners)
