Hello, back from the mountains and digging in. I thought I should start a new thread because the topic has changed quite a bit from original. I have looked at the tutorials link on the main page and down loaded the first ten along with the tKC Tutorial Viewer 2000 v3.1. The viewer executed ok but the preferences for tut folder could not be reset. Setup defaulted to the root folder and I cannot change it. If anybody can help I would really appreciate it.

Try delet the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TutorViewer v3

That worked, however even though my path is correct now when I try to load a tut from the correct folder it shows the folder empty. The only thing I can think is that the extension is incorrect............just don't know. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Maybee trying filemon and regmon could reveal where the viewer is going and what is it searching for.
