UltraEdit32 10.20a two startup instances

Hello,
after the installation and run of the application I noticed a strange slow startup loading of the application.
I watched the taskmanager and saw two uedit32.exe processes instead of one.

Anyone had analogue experience?

respect,

armadillo

it arma wrapped isn't it?, don't use it myself.

UltraEdit is Armadillo wrapped indeed. If you don't want it running two instances and if you want to increase startup speed, you'll have to unpack it. :)

packed ultraedit one exe will dynmic occur some exception and the other catch then extract code partly, party, exception, exception, with low efficiency....
in some old Pentum 3,it startup and show some dialog **animately**

shitly the armedillo detect ollydbg, softice,i think IDM.inc has no rights reject when user using these tools.

but 10.20a has new bug camed,so I choose to use my 10.20

I'm using UltraEdit v10.10c coz it's the last version without Armadillo. :D

I guess ultraedit is an editor for programmers...how good is protecting a programmer's editor against debuggers if you need those tools in your program development? You can type your code lines...but you cannot debug them... :D

i think author did a very bad job packing this with Armadillo + Copy mem ....and many debugger detection craps.. i also noted that functionality decreased with this new versions wrapped with armadillo... i changed back to 10.10c as well  many people are complaining about this..i guess ultraedit author's will lost customers for been playing with bad protectors as armadillo :D

my suggestion: use EditPlus or Crimson Editor (later one is free)

I have been using Ultraedit for 8 years. But I have to swithc editplus last month. As the ultraedit right mouse bottom extension conflicts with Windows XP Tablet Edition. Basically, one per two times I launches Ultraedit, my system will halt, can't log off, shutdown, restart, but have to press power bottom.
