Acrobat Reader ads
I am searching the net how to remove ads from acrobat reader and I found nothing. After some investigation I found that reader checks the folloing registry value to decide whether to show ads or not:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\6.0\AdsInReader] "bShowAds"=dword:00000000 ; 0 - do not show, 1 - show, default - 1 |
Preferences - Startup - uncheck "Show Messages and automatically update"
That's all :) |
Maybe a little off-topic, but i recently found a small application which can remove the adds as well... however, that's only an additional function: it's main purpose is to speed up the loading of adobe reader, by loading only a few plugins...
it can be found here: hxxp://www.tnk-bootblock.co.uk/prods/misc/ |
