Ollydbg ; what could be a possible
 

course for this ;

"Debugged program was unable to process exception."

Needless to say, it runs fine when not debugged! I am using Ollydbg 1.10.

I got past a memory access violation as well, by telling olly to ignore it, however this is a showstopper...

Ideas ? (yes, im a n00b!)

Thats a common error, post more info. Do you get the error with original file? Did you find what type of packer it is? Maybe packer detects your debugger.

you must use HideDebuger v1.10 Plugin for OllyDBG for Hide Olly when you debug or cracking a program !!!

Do you have inline patched something and forget a "RETN"? That was my fault (mistyped) when i have unpacked something and the debugger / the app runs in "strange and unwanted code segments"...

Some more info would be nice..
