looking for special kind of anon proxies

I found most of this text on another site, so I'm quoting the stuff about the env variables.

- Okay, but I see people and you saying 'use anonymous proxies' if you connect to it first aren't they all anonymous?

A. Nooo. There are different types of proxies:

Transparent proxies: These pass along full information, including your IP

Anonymous: These are anon proxies that do not pass along your IP, but also make no attempt to hide the fact that someone is using a proxy server

High Anonymous (a.k.a. Elite proxies): These hide all information, and the fact that they are a proxy server. Sites you connect to think for all intents and purposes the proxy server's address is yours

Gateways: Gateways are proxies that point to other proxies. For surfing they remain anonymous, because even though they will show their address and pass along another address, the addy they pass along will not be yours.

- What's the difference between different kinds of proxies like anonymous, transparent?
- What's a gateway proxy?
- What's a distorting proxy, or elite proxy?

A. Go to this site and run this test: http://stealthtests.lockdowncorp.com/cgi-bin/envtest

That's called an environmental variable test.

REMOTE_ADDR - IP address of a client
HTTP_HOST - a web servers name
HTTP_USER_AGENT - browser type, operating system
HTTP_VIA - if it is not empty, then a proxy is used. Value is an address (or several addresses) of a proxy server,and added by the proxy itself
HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR - if it is not empty, then a proxy is used. Value is a real IP address of a client (your IP), and also added by a proxy server if you use one.
HTTP_FORWARDED - shows path you take to the server
HTTP_FROM - email address, if loaded/stored in browser

So those are env variables. Not all of them, but ones that really pertain here. You should have seen information filling in some of those on that page above after the test was done. Here's how it differs from proxy type to proxy type:

If you don't use a proxy, just a straight connection, it'll look like this:

REMOTE_ADDR = your true IP address
HTTP_VIA = not determined
HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR = not determined

Transparent proxies look like this:

REMOTE_ADDR = proxy IP
HTTP_VIA = proxy IP
HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR = your true IP

Anonymous proxies show this:

REMOTE_ADDR = proxy IP
HTTP_VIA = proxy IP
HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR = proxy IP

High anon proxies (sometimes called 'elite' proxies) hide the fact a proxy is being used:

REMOTE_ADDR = proxy IP
HTTP_VIA = not determined
HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR = not determined

And finally, here's what a gateway (sometimes called distorting) looks like:

REMOTE_ADDR = proxy IP
HTTP_VIA = proxy IP
HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR = random IP address

So basically, the only ones worth using are the High anon proxies:

REMOTE_ADDR = proxy IP
HTTP_VIA = not determined
HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR = not determined

I guess you could test each proxy with a site like: http://stealthtests.lockdowncorp.com/cgi-bin/envtest

But too bad there isn't an updated list somewhere, with only high anon.

I have found Charon to be a rather solid tool for finding and categorizing open proxies:

hxxp://rhino.deny.de/charon.php

I'm not expert but what about local anonymous proxy ?
http://www.winnowsoft.com/anonymous-proxy.htm
have it if need

Yeah it's a good program, but you still need a reliable proxy judge to actually test the proxies.

updated proxy judges: http://web.freerk.com/proxyjudge/prxjdg.htm

When you use Charon, do you find that proxies using port '444' almost always have Via=No?

Another nice site with proxies is h**p://www.proxy4free.com/page1.html.
Almost always up2date and working.

Cheers

Yes, I have noticed port '444' has Via = No most of the time.

Also, thank you for the link to the proxyjudge I inadvertantly left that rather important bit out.

in this Address you can Find many Proxy Server ,
This link also categorized proxy servers in countries .
you can find proxy servers by Country Name .

Code:

i found that subscribing to proxy forums is often the best way of getting updated proxy lists. Using the sites listed above is a good start however i found that most of the listed ones are either very slow, dead or die within a few hours. Proxy forums are full of people who need working proxies so you often find lists of thousands of proxies. It is always a good suggestion to scan them yourself though.

Try this Site

I think it's the only one you will need

Also if you want just to surf anonymous you can use "tunelling" with a nice prog called Anon-Encrypt by w.w.risersoft.com

When you are using anonymous proxies remember that their administrators are forced by law to keep the logs for a specified amount of time (this time vary depending on country specific telecomunication law). Using anonymous proxies does not make you invisible. It makes your IP invisible till the moment the victim conacts proxy administrator - the one you used. Believe me it's not a big problem to reveal any IP, assuming you have legal reasons and cooperate with appropiate governments (e.g. police).

If you want to be really hard to trace then use only Chinese proxies. The goverments in China live their lifes. They don't like to reveal any information outside the country, even if it is an attack on Microsoft site. I haven't heard about any successfull cooperation with Chinese goverments, including evident law violations (international). Of course I don't say that it is good or wrong - I leave that to your opinion.

The world is yours, young hackers...

Regards.

Of course, dyn!o is right.

To be even more secure, you can set-up that high-anonomity-proxy in your browser, disable Java (as it does not use your proxy-settings), and block all connections except those to your DNS-server and to your proxy to get even more security.

Additionally , you could install a PHP/CGI-proxy-script on the free webspace of your choice and surf with it (remember to use the proxy ALL THE TIME).

Most webspace providers do not log the HTTP-GETs done by php-scripts, especially if they use they use their own HTTP-implementation using sockets, so they can not find out, whose customer's script requestet that pages. But even if they could, they would just see the IP of your chinese proxy.

Hi all
First I should say if you want to test the anonymity of proxies,I think the most
powerfull program is AccessDiver:

hxxp://www.accessdiver.com/

Note:This program is full of adwares but it worth to use. :D

In addtion,In a group of sites,you can't use anonymous proxies to access them
and you should use tunneling to use them. :)

sincerely yours
