Windows XP Embedded
 

Hi everybody ,

Is there any one work with "Microsoft Windows XP Embedded" package ? I'm trying to build a custom configuration to boot from CD (El Toriro) , but it seems something is wrong ! :confused: Whereas I've set the EWF component , but when the system is boot from CD , it is stopped because of some write process failure.

I solve my problem , but the link was amazing ;) My image was failured because I had forgatten to add the CD drive components.
Now it works :cool:

But I faced another problem ! the image dose not work on Sony & TDK CD-Drives ! :confused: do you know why?

Have you tried to boot a standard XP Installation CD with those CD drives?
If it works, also your XPE image should be working... Otherwise, try explaining better where the cd boot sequence stops (including any error message, if present).
The only issue i know about some older Nec, Plextor and Sony drivers is a different CDDA (digital audio extraction) implementation, because those drivers can't support the READ_CD (0xBE) scsi command, but this should affect only audio CDs...
