HASP4: Questions from a newbie...
 

Hi guys;

I must say that this forum is really informative and I spend a lot of time reading through the posts. I am really very new to HASP dongle reversing and I just need to understand a few things, which I'm having trouble with:

[1] What is a seedcode, and how do you find one? Is it any random number depending on the type of HASP?
[2] Is there a correlation between the two passwords of a dongle and the secret table? Any algorithm?
[3] Why is the secret table so important and how can it be used to emulate a dongle?
[4] Many tools require a dump from the original program, but what if you don't have the original dongle? Can the target still be defeated?
