Hi all. Appreciate the invite.

I'm new to RE and disassembly but am fairly proficient at writing code, primarily ANSI C and a bit of C++. I understand IA32 but not proficient by any stretch. I'm interested in RE out of necessity, as I have a bunch of older (affordable) electronic test equipment that I use as a hobby and it's gotten to the point where it is all non-support and I'd like to keep it going. Expired programing codes/licenses, incompatibility with newer computers, corrupt/dead hard-drives, missing dongles. etc. I'm primarily interested in older stuff in the Win32/IA32/x86 genre, circa 2000-2015. May need to do some x64 RE but mostly x86. Nothing cutting edge here, and I suspect my main problem will be digging through the archives to find some older tools.
