I don't think that current and upcoming user interface is fabulous. There are to many non useful space: 'bloating' toolbars, distinct uncontrolled windows... Not really useful

just like any workspace you can customize it to your needs, re-arrange toolbars and delete the ones you don't want...

As far as I can tell, most of commercial softwares are loaded with bloated functions.

If you guys get your hand on IDA 5.5 and dont like it cause of its GUI, i'll trade you my v3.7 for it.
Its DOS, so no bloated stuff. Just "awesome".

it's similar to right click on toolbar, there is now way to create new custom toolbar

IDA Pro engine updates are not so interesting as HexRays plugin updates. It's hard to implement something completely new in dissassembler itself (however dockable windows should be nice I suppose). But decompiler has a huge potential. For example Ilfak wrote Hex-Rays can now decomple floating point:

Unfortunately the only HexRays version I saw in public was HexRays 1.0, and it was somewhat limited in functionality and usablitily (but quite impressing).

BTW, I reaploaded HexRays 1.0 to FTP server.

Problem with recent IDA and HexRays is that IDA/HexRays people have seriously tightened up who they will sell to. Which means it would be hard for someone (or group of people) with the aim of "buy newer IDA and leak it and so what if they get blacklisted" to actually get a copy.

So when is there going to be copy for download w/crack?

Don't hold your breath. I don't believe there has been a release since 5.2.
