SlySoft closed down
SlySoft is/was the company behind AnyDVD and CloneCD. They have been playing hide and see with Hollywood for 13 years, but it seems a few days ago they lost for good:

CloneDVD, CloneBD and Virtual Clone Drive continue to be available via elby.ch.



It will be interesting to see how all this continues - many suspect other tools like DvdFab Passkey, etc. were looking to AnyDvd for "inspiration".

Wow that's a shame. I've always used their Virtual Clone Drive software to this day. It is personally my favorite due to how lightweight and to the point it is. Hope they can get something going again to continue their amazing software.

Used this software for a long, long time... Really great piece of software and worked silent without one msgbox / popup. Sad, they were forced to close...

But like with other tools, when one is gone, two new will come. Same with TrueCrypt...

Yes indeed very interesting, but there is a discussion (found in german part of forum) that they will use now? and in future an online database?

Not read in deep, so just only noticed, but the hell what for they need this database...

Agree with you.
The reversing sites must be ethical not simple crack all possible software from one company or make keygen to ALL his products because they will close down that business.

Why do you don't stop your unpacking?
Let me seek some time and I will find something you did, that wasn't ethical!
My ethic is, no crack or keygen for software, that's probably used in professional.
So if you are really disappointed, start programming such soft by own...
I hate those guys using my work for making money instead of buying it and I only used this soft in private, because AFAIK no life license has given and my money isn't endless, rather more poor!

Seek and tell me what you find.
I mostly (99%) unpack game trainers or game cheats.
FYI i have purchased licenses for over USD 1000 just this year so i am a legitimate user for many many products.
FYI too i am a developer of a commercial product with i coded over 1000 hours.
As you can see i code tools and make scripts for my own use and many of them i put on public. Is a long list.
What is your contribution to the scene?
