Softice help

My windows directory is not "windows" and softice won't load, the exe. evedently uses the default directory "windows" and there dosn't seem to be a way to re-assign it. I dont want to reload windows and all the software that points to my win directory. Is there a way to re-assign the directory Softice uses ?

BTW I use Win 98, there does seem to be a certain amount of customization for NT and ME, but not 98. (
Thank You, Beob1

Ver 4.05 trial version downloaded from NuMega's site.

Last time I had to reload windows, for some ungodly reason the install "wizard" (HA!) named the directory windows.000

Your windows directory is called "Windows.000" because there was already a directory called "Windows" when the installer begun, and it doesn't overwrite by default - although you can change it during installation.

As for your SoftIce error, this doesn't seem to be a problem with Driver Studio 2.7 Retail - so go download it !
