MD5 is a big big BUG!
Crypto researchers abuzz over flaws
The excitement began Thursday with an announcement that French computer scientist Antoine Joux had uncovered a flaw in a popular algorithm called MD5, often used with digital signatures. Then four Chinese researchers released a paper that reported a way to circumvent MD5 and other algorithms. .... u can look insight detailed info in url: http://zdnet.com.com/2100-1105_2-5313655.html i cannot believe it!!!!!!!!! ps: who can download the conference about these cracked algorithm?

collisions have been found for MD5/4, RIPEMD, and HAVAL-128, by 4 of Chinese academics, (from Shandong University / Shanghai Jiaotong / Chinese Academy of Sciences). If anybody wants a copy of the .pdf file (there's nothing much in it, just an mathematical equation of how the collision was derived, and 2 sample collisions for each hash function), PM me or something, and i'll be happy to send.

There is no a perfect algorithm
It's a good news for crack staffs.
But, I think forge a signature is not a easy work yet. |
