DriverSuite is a part of DriverStudio.

That is, DriverStudio has more features than DriverSuite.

Pls refer to the vendor site.

Only difference i know isn't featurewise, its that the studio versions include previous versions of softice that work on dos, win9x, etc.

DriverSuite only contains the latest versions. That's what i gathered from reading their site (it doesn't have a great deal of information about what's different) and from using the versions myself. Then again, i only use them for softice.

Hi,
Compuware DriverStudio contains BoundsChecker and TrueCoverage( widely used in device driver development) which Compuware DriverSuite lacks.

Regards.

Question NuMega SoftIce

I had not used SoftIce in the last 4 years, and had forgotten how to install softice. I have several versions available and would like to load a debug station (either Me or 98SE) to have SoftIce. Can you help with the config reqs? I had contacted NuMega and they said that I need to upgrade. I'd rather not. It appears that I have misplaced my system backups and now am lost.

versions avail:
DriverStudio 1.0 Aug 99
DriverStudio 1.5 Dec 99

SoftIce/W Beta 0.2
SoftIce/W for Windows 95 2.5

SoftIce 1.1 (grey binder) (93?)
SoftIce 2.0 (white binder) (94?)
SoftIce 4.0 Feb 99

the latest working Softice under Win98-Me is in the DriverStudio/Suite 2.7..... with the 3.x series Compuware does not support Win98/Me anymore... anyway the 3.x versions also contains the Driversuite 2.7 for retrocompatibility in a separate installation package... on the ftp you can found all these versions..
