Kernel Mode Driver for NT

I would like to make a small kernel mode driver (KMD),
for give me direct Port I/O access under NT based OS.
But I don't have Windows NT DDK, and I never want to pay for it.
So I prefer MASM32 with KmdKit, but it seems to be
my knowledge is not enough for this task, atm.
If anybody has some experience with KMD,
then plz help me. Thx in advance!
