I tried changing my Date time and Location to UTC and London, then generating serial, It still works.

Anyway if you still finding it crashing just change the code line
from

fP = p3 + p4 + p5 + p6.Substring(0,10);

to

fP = p3 + p4 + p5 + p6;

I tried and registered with success.
