In android 9 and above , very few recorders are working , otherwise they are going to be useless tools soon

call recording can still be enabled by carrier, so if you can get yourself a carrier firmware that enables call recording AND flash it to your phone, that would work. last time I did that was with an S7 tho, my current phone is locked down more.
