You are probably right, ferrari, it could be a self-extracting file. But what puzzles me is that the file ends with an EXE extension, not RAR or ZIP. So I'm a little apprehensive. However, I've never seen a potential virus masquerading as a 200MB+ file before, so it can also be the real thing. <shrug>

I didn't want to try and install it just yet because it might interfere with the VB6 already installed on my computer, and I need VB6 for the next couple of months for working on a project I was assigned at work.

Once I've tested it (VS6), I will let you all know.

Hi,
Self extracting archives have "exe" extensions only and not rar or zip. You don't need to have Winrar or Winzip to extract files from SFX archives
Run the exe and the files will get extracted to the target folder.

If its a RAR or ZIP SFX, you should be able to open it in winzip or winrar, either by just loading it into those progs or by renaming it to zip or rar and then opening it.
