Hasp with FlexLM protected app, need an hand

Hi,
I'm working on an application (http://www.aimsun.com/downloads.html for version 4.29 and the update at hxxp://www.aimsun.com/v4.2/getram_4214_update.exe) which is protectected with an HASP4 USB key and then with FlexLM.

What I need is to patch the application in order to not be bothered for the HASP key each time (I need to use it for more than one user at a time). I have valid FlexLM licences so this protection is not giving problems.

The problem is that I tried to use Glasha HASP dumper and then a virtual USB driver to emulate the dumped HASP key, one posted here too.

But I have some problems: I'm not able to dump the key (no .dmp file) and moreover when I try to use the Glasha emulator I get another HASP key number (much probably because the application see it as another key) thus the flexLM licence numbers are then wrong (the flaxLM associated a specific key number to a licence number).

Moreover I read about some new features new HASP4 USB keys are using, added since the Glasha project disposal.

The application is not compressed at al. This is this is not a crack request of course, what I need is an hand, 'coz I have some trouble getting the point.

Any hint at least to understand how to use Glasha dumper? There' no documentations around and the HardLock keys page on woodmann isn't working since several days.

10x in advance.

Shub-Nigurrath:

Er, it just so happens that I have the "entire" collection of everything from the old (and new) Woodmann site on my HD.

While we continue to struggle through an elusive php issue that is keeping us from re-opening the RCE Forums as quickly as we had hoped, if you can give me more information about exactly (or something better identifying it)what it was there you are looking for, I probably can arrange to get it to you, one way or another.

Regards,

hi,
well, 10x a lot for the offer! But for the moment I'm still confused and trying to understand what to use to dump that key correctly...so still no precise desires..
If something clearer will materialize in my mind I'll for sure ask 2 you, if meanwhile woodman not would have come back to life.

10x a lot, really, much appreciated!

0xf001, our Linux guru, has spent a couple of days trying to straighten out the original installation of server software the ISP had installed on our new server. Evenything seems to be working fine except a couple of very small snags in the full operation of the vBulletin software. They had installed several versions of various software for server operations, none of it complete, so that it has been really hard to track down what is causing the problem. We prefer to get the problem solved before we reopen the Forums and related sites.

Regards,

hi

previously i generated valid license for 4.1 and 4.2 versions of this software. (both with any and flexid) as i remember, there is no need to dump hasp key. because this program does not use vendor spesific dongle related hostid. you can generate "any" license key or simply use glasha with standard flexlm hasp paswords and generate flexid based license key.

Hiya Shub,

To dump a HASP 4 key you'll need at the minimum the HASP passwords to access the key, do you have those?, can you for example examine calls to the HASP API in a live session and recover them?, do they show up in the passwords table of Glasha's HASP emulator when its emulator driver is installed?.

A very basic dump can be performed using a combination of tools, H4bf.com will give you the secret table, H4dmp.exe either from Glasha or UCL's site can give you the ED (encrypt/decrypt data), if it doesn't pick up the USB key you can download HaspEdit.exe directly from Aladdin and use that to access the key, then by examining several encrypt/decrypt queries one can construct the ED data for full emulation manually.

The FLEXlm aspect of this probably won't be so interesting since toro has told you the layer will accept a HOSTID=ANY style license thus not even requiring the dongle ;p.

Regards

CrackZ.
