Microsoft is 10000x bigger at the minimum. Datarescue suffers from pirates continually distributing their software, thus their prices go up as they cannot afford to do otherwise and stay in business.

As for using it, no I never have and probably never will. I read so much about it and the number of "plugins" that OTHER people have to write for it so that it will work "correctly" tells me that it just ain't worth it.
I am not sure what you are referring to when you say "correctly" as it works just fine. If you are referring to the ability to on the fly patch code, that is a feature that was removed to help reduce its usage for pirating purposes. Again, Datarescue is small and cannot afford the litigation if someone decides to abuse the usage of their product for illegall purposes.

There is a freeware version, use it if you have the need and cannot afford the full version. Besides, what do you need the full version for unless you are in the security field, a real research, or feel like pirating software?

It seem's strange that this is your first post on this board and I don't recollect your name from RCE, just maybe you work for datarescue or have some affiliation with them???
No affiliation with Datarescue, other than being a satisified user for the last 4 years. I have just been lurking and saw this post was a tad riddled with poor information about a product that I happen to use daily and felt the need to correct some misconceptions on the spot.
