A small investigation of crack sites

for me, clamav antivirus works fine to discover attacched spy/adv on exe

-crack.cd uses clamav to precheck viruses so it can be cosidered as clean
(there are modified cracks but it warns you)
-the most typical modification is changing crack.exe with a sfx rar file crack.exe and it installs ist.exe(ie toolbar?)
-making a general program that checks the consistency of your crack may be a good idea so someone can get the check program from your site and check the crack from the crack site

it's true, yesterday i see an example for a nero keygen that is in effect a setup will install a toolbar and extract the keygen...

Like you said that sometimes the people that run the sites can add malware to the exe well sometimes, the person that created/distributed the crack does this aswell. Often they are undetected aswell regardless of how good your AV is.

What I do is because I am very cautious when it comes to downloading and executing files, I will submit it to an anti-virus company and then wait for there response. It might take a day or 2 but it is better safe than sorry, and you will know if the file is infected or not.

That is my suggestion anyway

solution is so easy...:
protect ur pc from hackong by adware or torjen..
1-good antivirus (norton wit antispy) or avast or bitdefender or NOd32 or makafee
2- antispy software : microsoft antispy or commercial one..
3- firewall.. like outpost or kaspersky or blackice or zonealarm

4 is use ur mind.. and how they make trojen or .. something like that...
in most crack site.. they put crack.exe or ex... it is too small in every ar file.. it is ofcouse a trojen.. so.. jsut unrar ur file without this file.. and re rar it.. and enjoy
