be wary thought when changing regional settings-> language for no-unicode programs because if you don't use an english version of windows you may end up with problems.
I did that with the french version of windows and setted it to japanese as default and i had suddenly problems with the start menu (normally there is an accent in the name in french and some application couldn't therefor put there icons there anymore)
This is a relatively minor problem but if there is this problem it means that there will probably be others.
