The passing of a loved one is always difficult for the living who remain behind. Often for the departed it is an end of discomfort and suffering. In that sense it is a blessing, though it is not easy at this time to view it in that light.
Remember that Mauro is not "gone" in the sense that he remains in your hearts and was a part of your lives, and his influence and memory will be carried on in the way your chose to live your own lives from this point forward. In all religious tradition of which I am aware which ask for prayers for those who have died, it is an act of faith that in death, those who have died have gained the opportunity to transition to a better place and may now rest as one with the diety, by whatever name this may be called. From this belief, the living find and should take comfort, for it is only through this passage that this transition may occur. No matter how much the moment may seems sad for those who remain behind to make this journey at a future time, do not forget the peace your brother may now share and find joy in that thought. Find focus and joy in the life that was shared and peace in your faith that this is not the end, but only a new beginning. Regards,
