ExeTools DC hub
Hi all,
This is such an excellent source of programming tools, that I think we should start a hub. It would be a private hub that's only accessible to members who have access to the ftp, but doing this would take much of the load off of the ftp, which must be tremendous. I'm not sure I could handle hosting a hub off my computer, but I'd be willing to try if exetools could back me up on it. For those not familiar with DC++, go here: http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/ This is just a thought, and I would like to hear all of your opinions on this matter. I searched for a thread proposing the same thing, but I couldn't find any, so please forgive me if it has. Thanks! FixXoRion Last edited by fixxorion; 09-12-2004 at 04:39. |

Light_Shadow: Unfortunately, I do live in the U.S...thanks for the warning. Maybe I could find someone in China to host it for me, since I have a significant number of friends there.
Glad you guys like the idea, but I would like to have some more input from others. A hub is only good if there are good members, so I want to make sure that a lot of people will use it. If the vast majority of people here actually used the hub, I think the bandwidth load for Aaron, or whoever hosts the ftp, would drop significantly. Any other comments? FiXxoRion |
